Itinerary
Day 1 :
Arrival & Transfer to Bentota
- Arrival at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport; Transfer to Bentota will take approximately 1 ¾ hrs.
- Beach stay in Bentota Beach; Bentota has broad beach areas where you can relax in a golden sunset. Bentota is also known as the watersports capital of Sri Lanka; the hoteliers around the area promote these sports from jet boat riding, jet ski riding, windsurfing, boogie boarding, water skiing, and kite surfing, to banana boat riding for family leisure.
- Overnight stay at Bentota.
Day 2 :
Maduganga, Hikkaduwa, Galle
- Breakfast at the hotel, and drive with you on to boat safari in Maduganga; this is a wetland estuary that is spread over 900 hectares, and 770 hectares from that are water with 64 inhabited islands. You can take a closer look at this ecosystem that is filled with mangrove canopies, birds, reptiles, and other wetland creatures.
- Drive with you to Hikkaduwa this is a 40 minutes drive; Hikkaduwa is the finest underwater ecosystem in Sri Lanka that has been declared a Marine National Park. This magnificent ecosystem owns over 60 species of corals and 170 species of reef fish, a number of species of sea turtles, and other marine creatures.
- Snorkeling or glass boat ride in Hikkaduwa.
- Lunch at a recommended restaurant in Hikkaduwa.
- Drive with you to Galle, which is approximately 40 minutes drive; Galle has been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO, and owns a magnificent fort that is bounded by the sea in two ends built by Portuguese and renovated and extended by Dutch.
- Galle city tour & shopping around.
- Transfer you to Tissamaharama, this is approximately a 3 ½ hour drive.
- Overnight stay at Tissamaharama.
Day 3 :
Yala, Kataragama, Kirinda
- Early morning safari in Yala National Park; You can order your picnic breakfast from the hotel.
- Yala is Sri Lanka’s second-largest National Park; has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. This huge park owns forests, grasslands, and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean and is inhabitant by a large number of wildlife and hundreds of bird species. It’s a real paradise for wildlife photography, capture their actions on your safari.
-Back to the hotel
- Visit Kataragama Devalaya Temple and Kirivehera Temple, this is 30 minutes drive.
- Back to the hotel and lunch at the hotel.
- Evening beach leisure at Kirinda Beach
- Back to hotel and overnight stay at Tissamaharama.
Day 4 :
Departure
- Drive to Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport for departure; this is approximately 5 hour drive.
