This journey will be from Kandy, which is the capital city of the central hills of Sri Lanka.
Itinerary
Day 1 :
Kandy, Cultural Show
- Arrival at Katunayake Bandaranaike Airport, and meet our representatives.
- Transfer you to Kandy; approximately 3 ¼ hours drive.
- Evening cultural show at Kandy Cultural Center, in here you can watch several events famous Kandy Esala Perahera.
- Overnight stay at Kandy
Day 2 :
Elephant's Orphanage Pinnawala, Royal Botanical Gardens, Temple of Tooth Relic
- Transfer you to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage approximately 1 ¼ hours drive.
- Watch the feeding of Elephant calves in the morning session and feed giants by yourself.
- Breakfast at recommended hotel in Pinnawala.
- Drive to Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens; located 5.5 km away from Kandy by the valley of Mahaweli River this botanical garden owns 4000 species of flora including orchids, palms, spices, and medicinal plants. The botanical garden also has a long history that you can explore on your tour.
- Trek on Udawattakele Forest Reserve
- Visit Kandy View Point which has a stunning view of the city of Kandy.
- Visit the Temple of Tooth Relic, Kandy one of the most Buddhist sacred places in the world.
- Shopping around Kandy, is a perfect place to purchase souvenirs, handicrafts, gift items, handloom sarees, and clothes.
Day 3 :
Train Journey to Ella
- Breakfast at the hotel drop you at the railway station of Kandy for the train journey to Ella; one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. The journey will through the central highlands that own countryside, paddy fields, lush green tea plantations, and forest areas.
- Meet you at the Ella, Railway Station and drop you at the hotel in Ella.
- Visit Ella Rock and Nine Arch Bridge.
- Overnight stay at Ella.
Day 4 :
Ella Rock, Dova Temple, Udawalawa, Hikkaduwa
- Visit Little Adam’s Peak in Ella early in the morning.
- Back to the hotel and take your breakfast.
- Visit the Ancient Buddhist Rock Temple of Dova, Close to Ella.
Drive to Udawalawe approximately a 1 ¾ drive.
- Safari at Udawalawe National Park.
- Lunch at a recommended restaurant in Udawalawe.
- Drive to Hikkaduwa approximately 3 hour drive
- Evening beach leisure at Hikkaduwa beach
- Overnight stay at Hikkaduwa.
Day 5 :
Hikkaduwa Beach
- Breakfast at Hotel
- Snorkelling or boat safari at Hikkaduwa Beach
- Beach Leisure in Hikkaduwa Beach
- Overnight stay at Hikkaduwa
Day 6 :
Bentota Beach
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Drive to Bentota, Sri Lanka’s water sports capital.
- Water sports activities at Bentota Beach
- Overnight stay at Bentota
